Introduction

Employees are the foundation of the organization. Achievements or challenges faced by the organization depend on the performance of its employees. Therefore, it is vital for organizational leaders to recognize the importance of training and development in employee productivity and evaluation. Advanced capabilities, knowledge, and skills are the basis of the competitive advantage of the organization in the modern world market. Despite the fact that a large number of studies have been conducted in the field of training and improving the efficiency of employees, it seems that the leaders of organizations still face gaps and problems in this regard. (Joel Rodriguez & Kelley Walters, 2017).

The Definition of Training & Development

According to Wikipedia, Training is the training or development in oneself or others of any skills and knowledge or fitness that are associated with specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals to improve your abilities, capabilities, productivity and productivity. Development is a process in which someone or something grows or changes and becomes more advanced.

Training stages have the main elements as follows:


  •      problem & organizational need identification
  •      participant identification
  •      training criteria expansion
  •      cost estimate
  •      profit

Overall duty carried out of Designing Training involves:


  •      identifies the learning goal of the training program.
  •      sets an accurate method.
  •      appoints the organizer along with other support.
  •      takes out the correct media among various ones.
  •      sets the content
  •      identifies evaluation instruments.
  •      makes arrangement of training order.

Further, not less important than previous stages are training material making which will be needed and developed as follows:


  •      overall training schedule (time estimation).
  •      plan for every single session.
  •      learning materials, for example, notebook, textbooks, handouts, etc.
  •      instructional aid.
  •      evaluation form.

  1. The author has described the importance of training and development to the organization. In todays context most of the organizations conduct trainings. But measuring the performance it will be not very much effective, further developing trainings must focus on new employee centred methods in order to more efficient.
    Trainees feedback and careful evaluation on time to time also important to note.
