Introduction
Employee motivation has always
been a central issue for managers and executives. Unmotivated employees are
likely to spend little effort in their work, if possible, to avoid the
workplace, leave the organization if possible, and perform poor-quality jobs.
On the other hand, employees who feel motivated to do their job are likely to
be persistent, creative and productive, receiving high-quality work they do
voluntarily (Teresa M. Amabile, 1993).
